Essential oils blends are always used in mixture with carrier or base vegetable oils. As the carrier oil for acne homemade remedy blends, it is best to use milk thistlegrape seed, or avocado, because all of them have anti-inflammatory properties.

Another vegetable oil that is effective in treating acne and getting rid of pimples is black cumin seed oil, but it is not recommended to apply it to the skin in its pure form, and it’s best to mix it with some other base oil. Check out my favorite black cumin oil blend for acne below:

To make a black cumin homemade acne remedy blend:

Take 1 tablespoon of grape seed oil, avocado or milk thistle (or a mixture of these three base oils) and mix it with 1 teaspoon of black cumin oil.

Essential Oils for Pimples: My 5 Favorite Homemade Acne Remedy Blends

I have chosen my 5 favorite homemade acne remedy recipes with the essential oils for pimples. I’ve been using these blends to get rid of acne scars I had since puberty, when pimples and breakouts were at the order of the day. Use them every day, at least twice a day or as per recommended below. You should see results within 4-6 weeks of use. Make sure you eat healthy, avoiding fatty foods and watching sugar and calories more generally, otherwise your homemade acne remedy will not be effective.

 #1. Tea tree mix

1 tbsp. of carrier oil of choice
5 drops of tea tree essential oil

The resulting mixture can be stored in a small glass container (jar, bottle).

Apply this compound to your skin twice a day, in the morning and in the evening for 30 minutes. Alternatively, apply before bed and leave it overnight. Rinse with warm water to remove.

#2. Tea tree blend – My favorite essential oil blend for pimples and blackhead

1 tbsp. of carrier oil of choice
2 drops of ​tea tree essential oil
2 drops of ​lavender oil
2 drops of ​lemon essential oil

This composition has anti- inflammatory, bactericidal, and astringent effect, and besides getting rid of acne, it promotes good cleansing, refreshing, and lightening of the skin.

It is advisable to apply it 1 hour before going to bed, and do not rinse until the morning.

#3. Cedar Blend

1 tbsp. of carrier oil
3 drops of ​cedar essential oil
2 drops of Siberian pine oil
1 drop of ​geranium essential oil

This mixture has a bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and constrictive action. Cleans and soothes the impure and inflamed skin.

Apply to the problem areas 2-3 times a day.

#4. Melissa blend

1 tbsp. of carrier oil
3 drops of melissa essential oil
2 drops of bergamot essential oil
1 drop of grapefruit essential oil

The mixture helps eliminate acne and pustular rash, relieve skin inflammation, narrow the pores on the face, normalize the sebaceous glands, as well as refresh and lighten the skin.

Apply daily to the acne affected skin 2-3 times a day.

#5. Thyme blend

3 drops of thyme essential oil
2 drops of bergamot essential oil

This mixture has a powerful antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect, promotes the treatment of acne, and other purulent skin lesions, reduces the production of sebum, narrows the pores, tones, refreshes and slightly brightens the skin.

Apply to the problem areas of the skin in the morning and evening.
